About

A journey guided by curiosity,
through explorations and encounters

My name is Virginie, and I work at the intersection of several worlds:
science, digital technology, creation and knowledge sharing.
Virginie Chantry - founder of PixieLight Digital

My path has never followed a predetermined route. It has been shaped by discoveries, encounters, and experiences.

My approach is based on a simple conviction: projects often emerge when ideas, skills and perspectives that initially seem far apart come together.

Today, through PixieLight Digital, I support individuals and initiatives who wish to clarify an idea, structure an approach, or develop a simple digital presence and practical tools.

As discoveries unfolded

I now live with my family in the Canary Islands, an environment that fosters my interest in science, international projects, and creativity.

I am Belgian, with Italian roots, and I have always been drawn to experiences that allow me to explore the world from different angles.

This has led me to live or work in several countries: a few months in Quebec, where I trained in acting at the ECTQ (École de Cinéma et Télévision de Québec); in New Zealand, exploring the filming locations of The Lord of the Rings — and even shaking hands with Peter Jackson; and in Chile as part of a scientific project around the TRAPPIST-South telescope of the University of Liège.

From science to projects

My initial training is scientific: I completed a doctorate in astrophysics at the University of Liège and worked for several years in research and in international collaborations related to astronomy.

This experience taught me how to analyze complex problems, structure ideas, and work with teams from different cultures and disciplines.

I also hold a diploma in cooking and catering, an experience that taught me to combine creativity, high standards and attention to detail — elements that are reflected in my work today.

Over time, my activities have expanded into other areas: communication, scientific and cultural projects, digital support and educational initiatives.

Entrepreneurship, creation & hybrid approach

Since 2017, I have been working as a freelancer and developing various entrepreneurial and creative projects.

  • I started with Stardust Consulting, which focused mainly on scientific communication, website creation and the organization of international events, particularly in Beijing and Mumbai.

  • I then founded La Licorne Gourmande, a chocolate and candy shop dedicated to Belgian artisanal products, which I managed for several years.

  • In parallel, I participated in the creation and then the administration of the Belgian company Marketrotters, where I continued and deepened my communication and digital support activities.

These experiences allowed me to explore many aspects of project development—strategy, communication, organization, business management—as well as different professional environments. The common thread: curiosity, knowledge sharing, and meaningful initiatives.

The birth of

PixieLight Digital

PixieLight Digital emerged from this somewhat atypical journey.

Over the years, I have realized that the most interesting and meaningful projects often arise from the intersection of several disciplines: science, creation, digital, education or culture .

PixieLight Digital is therefore designed as a constellation of services and initiatives that support projects in many sectors, from different angles.

Today, I collaborate with individuals, teams, and organizations from diverse backgrounds — science, culture, education, or entrepreneurship — to help them structure ideas, develop projects, or clarify their online presence.

Depending on the needs, this can take different forms:

  • strategic or digital support

  • project structuring or clarification work

  • scientific or editorial collaborations

  • creative or educational projects.

Based in the Canary Islands since 2023, I continue this work at the intersection of science, international projects, and creative endeavors. This diverse range of experiences continues to inspire the evolution of PixieLight Digital.
